Angeregt durch die Frankfurter Clubszene der späten 90er Jahre startete der mittlerweile in Mainz lebende Stephan Siegfried im Jahr 2000 das Klangpilot Projekt zur Kreation elektronischer Musik. Von Anfang an ging es dabei sowohl um Musikproduktion im Studio, als auch um Liveacts (allein oder im Team) in der lokalen Clubkultur Rhein-Main. Parallel zur Musikproduktion war Stephan auch aktiv im paradoxClub, der ca. 3 Jahre lang als nicht-kommerzielle Plattform für junge regionale und überregionale Künstler aus dem Bereich der elektronischen Musik fungierte. Klangpilot Liveacts konnte man bisher nicht nur auf Parties und in Clubs, sondern auch in Webradiosendungen (z.B. Funkprovider) und im Fernsehen (Offener Kanal Kaiserslautern) begegnen.
Neben dem klassischen Frankfurter House und Techno bilden auch diverse andere Stilelemente die Grundlage für die Klangpilot Tracks, insbesondere Funk- und Jazz-Elemente inspirieren Stephan immer wieder. Heute reicht das Spektrum der Klangpilot Tracks von tanzbarem Electrohouse, Techhouse und Minimalhouse bis hin zu ruhigerem Chillout und Drum’n’Bass. Neben aktuellen Soloprojekten befindet sich Stephan aka Klangpilot in regem Austausch mit anderen Künstlern, dank Internet sowohl regional wie auch international.   English Inspired through the Frankfurt clubscene of the late 90’s, Stephan Siegfried started the Klangpilot project for creation of electronic music in the year 2000. From the very first day this project stood for both studio music production and live acts on stage (single or together with other artists) in the Rhein-Main-Area. Stephan was also part of the paradoxClub, a non commercial platform for young artists. Klangpilot presented musik through live acts not only in clubs and on parties, but also in webradio (e.g. funkprovider) and local TV. Traditional Frankfurt house and techno tunes and also elements from other music areas like funk and jazz are basis for the typical Klangpilot sound. Today the range of his styles reaches from electro house, tech house and minimal house to slower stylez like chillout und drum’n’bass. Beside his solo projects, he’s also working on tracks with other national and (thanks to the internet) international artists.
